The MarQuise D. Solomon Sr. Foundation was founded to honor the life and legacy of MarQuise D. Solomon Sr. whose compassion, generosity, and love for helping others continue to inspire our work everyday. His life demonstrated the importance of serving others with kindness, dignity, and hope, and the foundation was created to carry that spirit forward.
Our history
Inspired by personal experiences with homelessness and a lifelong commitment to serving others, the foundation recognized the need for a place where people could access trusted information, community resources, and compassionate guidance, This vision led to the development of the Hope Rising Resource and Referral Center Initiative, a program designed to connect individuals and families with housing resources, employment services, healthcare, education, domestic violence support, and other essential services.
